Heatley to Sharks DENIED!

September 10, 2009

dany-heatley According to several sources, Dany Heatley has been traded to the San Jose Sharks from the Ottawa Senators. The three-team trade also involves the Los Angeles Kings.

On top of that, reports say that Patrick Marleau is headed out of the Shark Tank and will head to Los Angeles. To complete the deal, the Senators will receive Alexander Frolov and Jarrett Stoll from the Kings.

Here are a couple links on the breaking news:

Here’s something from John Buccigross’ Twitter Account

Dany Heatley will probably be a Shark tonight or tomorrow

Maybe Glenn Frey will come along in the trade too. After all, this song was played after every Dany Heatley goal in Ottawa:

The Kings are aware of the report, first leaked by ESPN and had this to say on their team’s twitter account.

#Kings are aware of today’s ESPN report, but there’s nothing to it.

Well it looks like neither Dany Heatley nor Glenn Frey will be going to San Jose. Here’s what Darren Dreger tweeted.

Sources say there is no Heatley deal and nothing is close at this point.

Dreger is a TSN insider, and we all know that TSN knows their hockey. Michael Russo, beat writer for the Minnesota Wild, also denied it and Kings beat writer Rich Hammond called it “Complete Bull” via twitter.

This is just another rumor, but the Glenn Frey video will stay on this site, even though he isn’t being dealt either.
